Summer Activities at Ski Apache

ALERT! Due to the Blue 2 Fire burning in the White Mountain Wilderness area, the scheduled May 25, 2024, summer opening of Ski Apache has been delayed. Visitors are invited to visit Ski Apache’s sister property, Inn of the Mountain Gods, where there are fully operational outdoor amenities and summer activities. Ski Apache is known for its beautiful warm weather skiing and snowboarding as the nation’s southern-most continually operating resort, but there is plenty of summer excitement too. Fan favorites such as the Wind Rider zip line tour, gondola rides, and endless hiking return this summer while the resort is introducing guided mountain bike tours and picnic basket lunches sure to excite any outdoor enthusiast.

Here is what travelers can look forward to this summer:

Wind Rider ZipTour & Wind Rider Dark

The Wind Rider ZipTour offers an experience unlike any other with an adrenaline-pumping, three-part zip tour reaching more than 8,900 feet in length. One of the longest, most thrilling zip lines in the world, the tour offers riders a spectacular view of the Mescalero range while zipping them down the mountain at speeds as fast as 65 mph. Riders can fly solo or zip alongside a friend or family member. The zip tour is $110 per individual.

Mountain Bike Trails and Rentals

Barrel down the Sierra Blanca Mountains and cruise through a vast rural landscape on Ski Apache bike trails. Take the gondola up while enjoying scenic mountain views and choose from a variety of trails at the top. Advanced riders can push their limits on challenging terrain while leisure trials offer a more relaxed experience for those interested in learning the ropes or sightseeing.
