The blues band called Catfishfry is composed of Mick Mena on bass, Eric Thornton on drums and Francois Ellis on guitar and vox. They play authentic blues and historic music from the past in very interesting and lively ways.

Based in Alamogordo and trained in music, piano, drums, and voice, Ellis been playing guitars since he was nine years old. He’s performed with Bo Diddley, JJ Bad Boy Jones, Louisiana Guitar Red, and a host of other famous and near-famous musicians. His first solo concert at Sacred Grounds was a last-minute, filling-in on very short notice gig when another scheduled performer was ill. He was very warmly received and put on quite a show.
