Officially opening on May 25, 2024, the Wibit Water Park at Grindstone Lake(Summer Only). The Ruidoso Wibit is suitable for all ages with passes available for purchase at Grindstone Lake.
SUMMER RESERVATIONS SYSTEM:
In an effort to preserve our natural resources and manage visitor capacity, the Village of Ruidoso will require a daily parking fee at Grindstone Lake beginning Saturday, May 25, 2024, through Monday, September 2, 2024 and holiday weekend advance parking reservations throughout the summer. The Grindstone Lake Daily Parking Fee is $10 per vehicle. No reservations are required Monday - Thursday.

The Dam House concession stand at Grindstone Lake is open every weekend, Friday - Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Seasonal, Summer Only)
LOW-SEASON OPERATIONS

Grindstone Lake Recreation Area returns to low-season operations effective September 5, 2023. as follows:
HOURS OF OPERATION: 5:00 am to 11:00 pm.
RESERVATIONS ARE NOT required for weekend visits.
WIBIT WATER PARK IS CLOSED FOR THE SEASON and the swimming season is over, but you can still kayak, paddleboard, fish, hike, picnic, and play disc golf.
DAMN HOUSE concession stand: Open weekends (Fri., Sat. Sun.) 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Pets must be on a leash.
A state of New Mexico fishing license for those 12 years and older is required.
