Nearly 50 years ago, Teri Sodd fell in love with Ruidoso, dreaming of one day calling it home. That dream became a reality in 1981 when she opened Mountain Arts Gallery in Ruidoso and became a cornerstone of the town’s creative community. As a celebrated pastel artist, Sodd has infused her passion into the local art scene, bringing stories to life and championing artists. Through her work, she proves that art is more than expression—it’s a powerful force that connects us all.
Tattoo artist Logan Fleharty blends art, compassion, and community impact. Inspired by his mother, he developed a thriving career and plays a key role in Ruidoso’s mural scene. During the South Fork Fire, he assisted evacuees and animals with tireless dedication. Now, Logan continues fundraising and championing local initiatives like a skate park, embodying the resilience and kindness that define Ruidoso.
In an inspiring display of community spirit, the Flying J Wranglers raised over $35,000 during a Lubbock fundraiser on July 1st to support Ruidoso's fire and flood victims. The donation, part of a broader $1.4 million nationwide effort, has been donated to the Community Foundation of Lincoln County.
