Linda Davis, a member of the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame, 3x Grammy winner and a bona fide Nashville favorite, shares her exceptional talents in a two-part concert program. Traditional country music dominates the first half with Davis and her band, which includes supporting vocals of daughter Rylee Scott, performing classics by Ray Price, George Jones, Mel Tillis, Brooks & Dunn and Loretta Lynn. Davis won a “Vocal Event of the Year” Grammy Award with Reba McEntire for their #1 duet “Does He Love You.”
The second half features Davis with her husband Lang Scott, a 2x Grammy-winning musician, and Bill Whyte, a singer, songwriter and award-winning radio broadcaster. Together they’ll perform an intimate, down-home ‘Music City’ styled acoustic set of original songs and stories with each artist taking a turn at the microphone. Expect to hear familiar tunes recorded by some of today’s hottest country artists (i.e. mega country hits by daughter Hillary Scott, star of Lady Antebellum) combined with stories behind the 2016 Grammy-winning inspirational album Love Remains. Whyte’s endearing brand of comedic and light-hearted songs complete this intimate night of country classics, stories and laughter.
