Ruidoso’s music community is coming together for an unforgettable evening in support of beloved musician Dave Millsap. A longtime performer with a remarkable career spanning decades, Dave is best known for his tenure with the Delbert McClinton Band, a collaboration that shaped his professional and personal life. His talent and generosity have touched countless musicians, and now, it’s time to give back.

This past summer, Dave and his wife, Carol, lost their home and nearly all their belongings in the devastating wildfires that swept through the area. While they managed to save a few treasured guitars, their losses were immense. Shortly after, Dave was diagnosed with throat cancer that has spread to a lymph node, leading to a grueling treatment schedule of daily radiation and chemotherapy in Alamogordo.

Now, Ruidoso’s tight-knit music community is rallying behind him with a special fundraiser concert at Downshift Riverside, one of Dave’s regular music venues. Organized by Dave Shanks, this event promises an evening of incredible performances featuring some of the region’s best musicians—all donating their time to support Dave’s medical expenses.
