Join Lincoln Historic Site for its monthly Lincoln Lecture Series. Held on the first Saturday of every month from May to October, these lectures delve into fascinating topics from guest lecturers throughout the state and take place in the iconic San Juan Bautista Church.
Scott Hays-Strom, the district archaeologist for the Smokey Bear Ranger District on the Lincoln National Forest, will present the June 2024 program and discuss historic mining in Lincoln County, how mining was practiced, and the success and failures of various mining operations in the area.
The lecture is included with a general admission of $7/adult. Children 16 and younger are free.
