Beauty & Strength: the Horse in Art features objects from the permanent collection at the Hubbard Museum of the American West, including traditional art, household items, children's toys, and fashionable accessories that all feature the horse. Come and learn why horses were, and are, a popular subject matter in art. The exhibit also features activities and games that people of any age can enjoy.
The 5th Annual Carrizozo Arts Weekend will take place August 17 and 18, 2019, from 11 am to 4 pm. A preview party will precede the weekend on Friday, August 16 from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Tularosa Basin Gallery of Photography located at 401 12th Street in Carrizozo. All events are free and open to the public.
